Yvon Andrew Maillet, 70, of Ashland passed away Monday May 21st at his home. Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Leandre and Rita Maillet. A longtime resident of Ashland, Yvon worked as a finish carpenter in the Metrowest area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed freshwater and deep sea fishing. He was a member of the Ashland VFW, American Legion in Ashland, and the Ashland Fish and Game.

Mr. Maillet is survived by two children, Norman Maillet of Holliston, and Tina Doucet and her husband Daniel of Grafton, six grandchildren, Evan, Drew, Tyler, Joseph, Trevor, and Amanda, four brothers, Emile, Leo, Roger, and John Maillet, and two sisters, Linda Maillet, and Mary Racine. He was the brother of the late Al Maillet.

A funeral service will be held Saturday May 26th at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Baypath Humane Society, 500 Legacy Farms North, Hopkinton, MA 01748.
