Wolfgang P. Herrmann, 73, of Ashland, passed away, Friday, April 2, 2010, at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Giersdorf, Germany; he was the son of the late Kurt and Hildegard (Tilch) Herrmann and stepson to the late Walter Haas. Mr. Herrmann was the husband of Gudrun (Reichert) Herrmann, to whom he was married 48 years. A resident of Ashland for 12 years, Wolfgang was a vice-president of international banking for Citibank in both Europe and the USA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Suzan Herrmann-Taylor and her husband Bruce of Ashland; and one grandson, Zacharias D.H. Taylor; one brother, Edmund Herrmann, and one sister, Baerbel Kersten, both of Germany. Memorial calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 7, from 6-8 p.m., in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., in Ashland. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
