The Funeral Service of William Parker has been rescheduled for Saturday January 28th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held Saturday Jan. 28th from 9:00-10:45am prior the service.
William B. Parker, 78, of Millbury, passed away following a short illness on Monday, January 2, 2023. Bill is survived by his partner Celeste Donohue of Millbury; his son Richard Parker of Boston and his partner Tina Mason-Johnson; his daughters, Lorin Parker and her husband Randy Race of Stockbridge, VT and Cambridge, MA, and Sue Talmadge, her husband Erik, and their son Max of Ashland, MA; his siblings, Carol Bretagne and her husband Richard of Worcester, MA, Gail Tremblay of Pelham, NH; Sandra Kirby and her husband James of Advance, North Carolina, Joyce Kelly of Waltham, MA, Lynne Kelly of Belmont, MA, David Kelly and his wife Marjolein of Brookline, NH, Robin Houmiller and her husband Chris, of Sullivan, ME; and June Messina and her husband Joseph of Tyngsboro, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife of 48 years and mother of his children Linda Evers Parker, by his brother Kenneth Kelly, and by his mother Marguerite Norton.
Bill grew up in Watertown, MA and was a graduate of Watertown High School. He lived in Milford, MA then Natick, MA before moving to Worcester in 1997. Bill retired after working for many years, with most of his working time spent in quality control and as a buyer at Kidde-Fenwal, Inc. in Ashland. Bill loved music, cars and car shows, walking and cycling, watching football, and, most especially, spending time with his grandson Max. He was full of life and will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday Jan. 28th at 11:0 0am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 9:00-10:45am prior to the service. Bill's family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be directed to a charity of the donor's choosing.
