William Paul
Noyes
Nov 26, 1963 — Oct 21, 2025
Ashland
We are sadden by the sudden death of William Paul Noyes Sr., 61, of Ashland, known mostly as Dad, Bill or Billy. He passed away peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Oct. 21, 2025 with his entire family by his side. He was the son of William Noyes and the late Marie (Anderson) Noyes.
He was the former husband of Susan Noyes, married 23 years, and even though divorced they remained close. He could often be found helping her around the house, sometimes unprompted, and had plans to help fix the lawn tractor next week.
Bill is survived by three children, Melyssa Sue Noyes of Mendon, William Paul Noyes Jr of Ashland, and Casey Donald Noyes of Mendon, his father William Noyes – known as Pops or Papa, brother Stephen Noyes and his wife Suzie and their two children Coda and Parker.
Billy worked as an auto body technician, his last job being with State Road Auto Body in Wayland, where he had many great friends. He worked in the auto body field since high school, was a hard worker and truly enjoyed his field.
Billy enjoyed all the great things in life and absolutely loved playing hockey, sometimes up to 4 days a week. He always had a knack for fixing things, so he started collecting broken chain saws from facebook marketplace and making them run again. Steve and Suzie had a deal with him where they would buy him a concert ticket if he was their designated driver; thankfully, he liked the same music. On family holidays and random late nights you could almost always find Billy with family & friends in a poker tournament. Some older hobbies include bowling, skiing, camping with his family & friends, dirt biking with his son William and being able to coach his kids sports when they were younger.
Billy has fought hard the past 6 years with his declining health while we are extremely saddened about his sudden death we are happy he is no longer suffering.
A graveside urn burial service will be held Thursday Oct. 30th at 11:00am in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. There are no calling hours.
