Obituary

William "Teddy" Nichols, 55, of Ashland passed away Monday Sept. 11th unexpectedly. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Gustave Nichols Sr. and Sarah Perry King, and husband of Karrin Rossberg-Nichols for 21 years.  Teddy worked as a quality control associate for Genzyme from 1994-97 and B.A.S.F. Co. from 1997-2006, and would later join the maintenance team in the Ashland Public School System.  He was the owner and operator of the former Iron Horse Pub in Ashland from 2001-2004.  Mr. Nichols served his country honorably in the National Guard.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by one sister; Doreen Nichols of Southborough; two brothers; Gustave Nichols Jr. and his late wife Marian of Ashland, Keith Woodson and his wife Adrena of Richmond, VA; godson and nephew; Dustin Holstein; nieces; Leticia Ann Nichols, Carly Chase, Lauren Ashton, and Rachel Ludwig; nephews; Jack Chase and Ben Ludwig; and special members of his family;

Rebecca Gagen and her children Eva and Little Teddy; and Josh Long.

A funeral service will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 18th at 9:00 am in the Greater Framingham Community Church, 44 Franklin St. Framingham, MA with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Sherborn. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022 or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes) 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
