William C. Miller, 98, of Ashland, former lifelong resident of New Wilmington, PA passed away Friday May 30th after a period of declining health. He was the son of the late Allen and Josephine (Pitzer) Miller Sr. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Wilson) Miller who died in 1997 and was later married to the late Greta (Hively). William was a talented cabinet maker and woodworker and will be remembered for his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Mr. Miller served his country honorably during WWII with the Navy Seabees Engineer Squadron in the Pacific theatre.
He is survived by two children, Becky Black and her husband Al of Ashland, Bill Miller and his wife Jackie of Carleton, MI, four grandchildren, Chris Black and his fiancé Amanda, Mike Black and his wife Emma, and Brad and Wilson Miller, and two great-granddaughters, Paige and Lizzie Black.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 14th at 4:00 PM in the Boston Church of Christ, 214 Concord St, Framingham, MA 01702.
A service will be held in New Wilmington, PA on Sat. July 5th at 3:00 PM in the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 229 South Market St. New Wilmington, PA. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 prior to the service in the church.
