Framingham – William G. Kressler, 81, of Framingham, formerly of Quincy, passed away at this home on January 20th. Born in Easton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Theodore and Lois (Hall) Kressler. He had resided in Framingham for over forty years. Mr. Kressler was a graduate of Quincy High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University. Employed with the New England Telephone Company for thirty-eight years, he retired in 1983. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Unites States Navy. He was an avid sportsman and belonged to the Hopkinton Sportsman Club and was also a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers. He is survived by four daughters: Eileen FitzGerald and her husband Anthony of Raymond, New Hampshire; Betty-Jean Larsson of Hooksett, New Hampshire; Jacquelyn Phoenix and her husband David of Uxbridge, MA; and Gayle Blackwood and her husband William of Raymond, New Hampshire; two brothers: Theodore Kressler and his wife Dottie of Quincy, and Richard Kressler and his wife Judith of Springfield, MA; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was also the life-long companion of the late Maria Baudreau who passed away in 2003 and is survived by her children Marlene Casalinouva of Dunedin, FLA, and Joeleen Morenzetti of Framingham; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning, January 25 in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
