Wayne F. Bridges, 73, of Ashland passed away Wednesday May 13th after a period of declining health.  Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Harold and Loretta (Martin) Bridges and husband to Wanda (Wortman) Bridges.  Wayne was a graduate of Ashland High School and went on to run the family business Harold's Upholstery in Framingham.  He later worked part-time at Shaw's Market in Ashland.  Wayne was always happiest spending time with his family, including his cats and dogs.  He enjoyed working in his yard, camping, and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by two step children, Garret Bratica and his wife Stephanie and Shauna Bratica of Ashland, two sisters, Virginia Buck of Hopkinton, Elizabeth Morse and her husband Jonathan of Lestor, MA, and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Paul Bridges.

A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday June 6th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service in the funeral home.
