Vivian (Bib) J. Thompson, born Oct. 26 1920, to Jesse and Ceilia Fuhrer . Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home Jan. 26 2017 at the age of 96. Bib lived in several communities of Philadelphia as well as Cambridge Ma. Achieved worthy advisor in the rainbow girls in high school then went on to earn her nursing degree as well as bachelors degree. In 1942 Bib enlisted in the navy achieving the rank of Ensign and served at the RI. naval hospital. after leaving the navy she married her husband John Thompson , together they made there home in Ashland Ma. raising three children. She is predeceased by husband John Thompson and daughter Melisa. she is survived by sons Peter Thompson and Jess Thompson, grandsons Ian Thompson and Michael Thompson , 2 great grandchildren Shamus Thompson and Shilee Thompson. A Graveside interment will take place Friday April 14th at 1:00 PM in Wildwood Cemetery, Chestnut St. Ashland, MA. In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Salvation Army , or the Shriners Hospital, in her name.
