Virginia Rose Woodrum of Marlborough formerly longtime resident of Framingham passed away Friday Sept. 30th. She was the husband of the late John C Woodrum who died in 1976. Virgina was a graduate of Framingham High School Class of 1942 and later graduated from South Middlesex Secretarial School. She began her career at Cushing Hospital in Framingham and went on to work as a secretary for Wayside Mental Health in Framingham for 34 years retiring in 2009. She was a 4H Leader, Town Meeting Member, and Poll Worker in Framingham for many years. She will be remembered as a spectacular mother.

She is survived by five children; Judy DeConing of Framingham; Lynda Thurston and her husband Richard of Maryville, TN; Lorraine Wales and her partner Michael Lioce of Natick; Kathy Chase and her husband Michael of Framingham; and John Woodrum and his wife Elizabeth of Marlborough; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one cousin, Muriel Fearaby formerly of Framingham.

Services are private at Virginia's request.
