Obituary

Virginia D. Hart ASHLAND Virginia D. Hart, 87 of Ashland, passed away Wed. Nov. 11th. She was the adored wife of Edward Hart, her husband of 62 years. A resident of Ashland for over 50 years, she most recently resided at the Carlyle House Nursing Home in Framingham. Mrs. Hart was a graduate of Framingham State College and was a classically trained musician and singer. She was a member of the Massachusetts Music Educators Guild. Mrs. Hart was the loving mother of eight children: Gary Jolley of Clearlake, CA; Roger Jolley of Pebble Beach, CA; Edward Hart of Ashland; Candace Combe of Norfolk; Scott Hart of Holland, MA; Dennis Hart of Norfolk; Christopher Hart of Holliston; and the late Brian Hart of New York. She was the devoted grandmother of Michael Jolley of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kirtlye Jolley of Cardiff, CA; Rachael Combe of New York; Benjamin Combe of Norfolk; Scott Hart of Holland; Rebecca McCurdy of Baltimore, MD; Sarah and Paul Hart of Norfolk, Robert and Julia Hart of New York and Capt. Brian A. Hart USMC of Newbern, North Carolina, and beloved great-grandmother of Theodore and Louisa Knauss of New York. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, all late of California, and leaves many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held Monday at 9:00 am in St. Bridgets Church in Framingham with cremation to follow. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
