Was an avid motorcyclist and belonged to the Christian Motorcycle Association, along with his twin brother Malcolm. He was a member and past Commander of the Ashland American Legion Post 2331. Was a member and volunteer of Ashland Historical Commission and Ashland Historic Society. He loved animals, especially his cat Moose and was a volunteer at several Cat Shelters in the area. Most of all he loved "helping" people. It did not matter for whom or where, some little thing to repair for someone or a larger project. Never expecting or wanting compensation. Being able to help was his payment. His wish was to be an organ donor and fortunately some of his organs were healthy enough to donate to New England Organ Bank in Waltham. So even in death, he continues to help others.
