Thomas S. "Rocky" Jackson, 82, of Woodstock, Conn., formerly of Hopkinton, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Judy (Neal) Jackson, formerly of Holliston. He attended Poly Prep Tech Institute in Brooklyn as a child and graduated with the Class of 1948 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology after completing his service with the Army's Counter Intelligence Corps during World War II. Mr. Jackson was a longtime employee of Arther D. Little, Honeywell, and G.E. Capital. He had traveled around the world, to Honduras and Paulau Island as part of his work. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Jay Jackson, Chuck Jackson and his wife, Sherri, Tapley Jackson and his wife, Jean, and Marguerite Jackson and her partner, Marilyn; five grandchildren, Jacob, Tapley, Ashley, Silas and Slater; and one great-grandchild, Isabel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m., at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland. Visiting hours are Saturday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the funeral home. In honor of Mr. Jackson's love of animals, memorial donations may be made to a humane society or animal protection society of your choice. No flowers, please.
