Theodore Brackett Jr. "Ted", 93, a longtime resident of Ashland and Brewster, passed away peacefully December 10, 2025. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mabelle (Snow) Brackett and beloved husband of 62 years to Priscilla Brackett.

Ted was a proud veteran of the Navy and enjoyed his working career in lumber/hardware retail and garden nurseries.

He lived a life of simple pleasure and quiet joy. He enjoyed cultivating his garden from seed to flower; proudly sharing produce of red maple tree seedlings to tomato plants and more. He could most often be found puttering outside; always savoring the sunshine of the seasons.

Ted enjoyed family dinners, the ocean and cheering on the Boston Celtics. He had a deep love for music; Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole and Chris Botti were favorites always playing nearby. His love of dancing with his wife Priscilla was one of the great joys of his life, and together they shared many happy hours square dancing with close friends, creating cherished memories.

He is survived by his three daughters; Kathy O'Brien and her husband Larry, Kim Schouler and her husband Kevin, and Kristine Mespelli and her husband Chris; his eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his brother, Paul Brackett of Framingham.

Ted is predeceased by his beloved wife Priscilla, and his son, Ken and was the brother of the late Bryce Brackett and Stephen Brackett.

As a family, we are grateful for the long, full life he lived. His life was marked by appreciation, gratitude, and quiet contentment. His memory will forever be held close in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday January 17th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA.
