Taimi (Tuori) Maki passed away on August 1, 2010 at the age of 94. She was born and raised in Quincy, MA and currently resided in Medway, MA. She was the wife of the late Harry Maki, and the mother of the late Phyllis (Maki) Johnson. Taimi was one of 11 children born to the late Herman and Marianna Tuori. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and a member of the Braintree Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Temperance Society in Pembroke. She was proud of her Finnish heritage and spoke the language fluently. She also enjoyed her memories of growing up in Quincy with her family and friends. She was a wonderful and sweet Grandmother to Sandy (Johnson) Iarussi and her husband David of Medway, Scott Johnson and his wife Michel of Braintree, and Travis Johnson and his wife Jen of Mill Valley, CA. She also had 7 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday August 5th, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to First Church in Pembroke, 105 Center St, Pembroke MA 02359
