Hopedale - Susan Rockett Quinn, 74, of Hopedale, died peacefully Monday December 21, 2015 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland, following complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Susan was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Quinn, her best friend, with whom she was married for almost 40 years. Born on August 29, 1941, Susan was the daughter of the late C. Edward and Helen (Sullivan) Rockett. She was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1959 and Vermont College in 1961.

Tom and Susan were married at Church of the St. Thomas More in Manhattan. After the birth of their daughters, Alison and Heather, the couple moved to Massachusetts to make Southborough their home. Susan enjoyed her work in retail in the bridal industry for many years and then built lasting friendships while working at Metrowest Chiropractic Associates in Framingham.

Wherever she went, her signature traits were her smile, laugh and warm personality. In recent years, her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren Quinn and Jack. Since her husband's passing, Susan made Hopedale her home.

Susan is survived by her daughter Alison and her husband John Larkin of Hopedale, her daughter Heather and her husband Robert Lionette of Chilmark, her grandchildren Quinn Larkin and Jack Lionette, her brother and sister-in-law, C.Edward and Barbara Rockett of Framingham, her sister-in-laws Patricia Brady and Shelia Maffei and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday December 28 th at 10:00am at St. Matthew's Parish, 105 Southville Road, Southborough, with interment to follow at Southborough Rural Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday December 27 th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the Matarese Funeral Home ( www.mataresefuneral.com ) 325 Main Street in Ashland.
