Susan Louise (Pabst) Heguy, a long-time resident of Ashland, MA., passed away in her home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loved ones, on July 25, 2023. Born January 4, 1951, Sue was raised by her loving parents Richard and Leanore (Rourke) Pabst, along with her three sisters Kathy Prible, Marty Ray, and Cindy Burk.

Sue married Thomas Heguy, starting their life together in 1975. Tom and Sue moved to Ashland in 1985 and recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.

Sue spent most of her career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working with handicapped children at both the Anne Sullivan Center and the Assabet Valley Collaborative.  She used her creativity to make adaptive devices and to make therapy fun and effective for her "kids" and their families.

As mom to her two daughters, Nicole (Chris) Aiello and Jacqueline Borukhov, Sue was very supportive of them as a Girl Scout Leader, Soccer and Field Hockey Mom, and any other interests they wanted to pursue. In addition, Sue was "Mimi" to four grandchildren: Gabrielle (18), Christopher (17), Mila (10). And Jacob (7). Sue was also a member of the Ashland Lions Club.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Susan for a period of memorial visitation from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, August 4, 2023 in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland, MA.
