Obituary

Stuart Ruland Hoyt,61, of Northbridge passed away on Wednesday September 10, 2025. Born in Ashland he was the son of the late Ruland S. Hoyt and Donalda I. (Ross) Hoyt.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Donna (Bradley) Hoyt. She was his partner, and best friend, and together they shared 44 years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

Stuart was raised in Ashland and was a longtime resident of Whitinsville. He attended Keefe Technical School and the Peterson School where he earned a Second Class Fireman's Certificate. He was known for his unparalleled mechanical mind.

A passionate outdoorsman, Stuart found joy in camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a family man who treasured holidays and family gatherings, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those he loved. His warm personality and welcoming spirit made him an avid porch waver, always greeting neighbors and friends with a wave and a smile.

In addition to his loving wife Donna, Stuart is survived by his son Matthew S. Hoyt and wife Kelly Hoyt of Pownal, ME, and his daughter, Jacquelyn M. Lebel, and husband Randall Lebel of Millbury, MA.

He cherished his grandchildren, listed by age they are, Levi Lebel, Ryker Lebel, Finnegan Hoyt, Easton Lebel and Matilda Hoyt, each holding a special place in his heart.

Stuart also leaves behind his sisters, Suzanne Carriere, Evelyn Hoyt, and Anne Hackett, and his brother, Brian Hoyt. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Richard G. Hoyt. Their memories remained a guiding light throughout his life.

Stuart was blessed with numerous family members and friends, all of whom he cherished and loved dearly.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 27, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nipmuc Rod & Gun Club, 88 Fiske Mill Rd, Upton, MA 01568.
