Stephen Robert Galluzzo, 48, of Ashland formerly of Marlboro passed away Sunday Jan. 11th at his home surrounded by family. He was the son of Dennis and Barbara (Berry) Galluzzo. A graduate of Marlboro High Class of 1984, Stephen went on to become a Master Plumber working for several area businesses including, Jimmy Phillipo, Bobby Nation, Henry Pacific, Rosewood Construction, Warren Stone, Denny Nagel, and finally starting his own business Galluzzo Plumbing. Stephen was a resident of Ashland for 30 years and was a member of the Woodville Rod and Gun Club in Hopkinton. His greatest passion was hunting and fishing with his dog Tango. He was also a devoted New England sports fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Kim Galluzzo-Wozniak and her husband Michael of North Carolina; one brother, David Galluzzo and his wife Karen of Framingham; one nephew, Christopher Galluzzo; one niece, Adriana Galluzzo; his close Aunt Cynthia; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his close friend, Becky Canty; and one godchild, Travis Pacific. The Galluzzo family thanks the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Oncology Dept. as well as Metrowest Homecare and Hospice, with a special thanks to Nurse Janice for the extraordinary care. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday Jan. 17th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland.
