Stella Belle Mallek, 94, of Ashland passed away April 12th after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Edward Mallek, who died in 1976. Born in Brewer, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Grace Jenkins. She loved to sew, was an avid reader, loved poetry and had a quick wit. She is survived by two daughters: Patsy A. Zampino of Ashland and Edwina J. Mallek of Brookline; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The Matarese Funeral Home of Ashland is in charge of her arrangements.
