Dr. Stan Bennett, 76, of Ashland passed away unexpectedly Wednesday July 17th at his home. He was the husband of Lois Bennett for 30 years. Dr. Bennett worked as a Professor of Human Development at the University of Maryland for 35 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Ashland with his wife in 2009 and became active on various town committees. He loved living in Ashland and it's friendly community. In addition to his wife; he is was loved by four children; Steven Reznick of Portland, OR, Jodie Poresky of Wellesley, MA, Mitch Reznick of London, England, and Meghan Cummings of Arlington, Virginia, and twelve grandchildren. The Bennett family welcomes family and friends anytime on Sunday, July 28th, between 11:00-4:00 pm to celebrate Stan's life at the Bennett home, 22 Liberty Hill Circle , Ashland. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Ashland Farmers Market.
