Sarah Emily Shorey, 28, of Ashland passed away suddenly Wed. May 10th after a brief illness. She was the daughter of David and Mary Ellen (Cronin) Shorey.  Sarah was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 2007 and later graduated Westfield State College Class of 2012.  She worked as an administrative assistant for S.M.O.C. in Framingham.  Sarah was an avid New England sports fan and passionate Red Sox fan.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Lindsay Shorey of Northboro, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Shorey of Framingham, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her beloved dog Bruin.  She was the granddaughter of the late Bob and Mary Cronin.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday May 16th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England,  219 East Main St,  Suite 100B,  Milford, MA 01757
