Sarah P. King, 82, of Ashland passed away Tuesday July 21nd. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William and Sallie (Russell). Sarah moved to Boston to begin her adult life. She married the late Gustave L Nichols Sr. and began her career in the meat packing industry. She went back to school and became a Dental Hygienist for the late Dr. John B Garrett. Sarah began a new career and worked over 30 years in many positions with the United States Postal Service. She retired as a Postal Service Supervisor at the Park Street Office in Framingham and started the next phase of her life with her loving husband of 16 years, Abram O. King. She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life, her husband, Abram O. King; sons Keith Woodson and his wife Adrena of Richmond, VA; Gustave Nichols Jr. and William "Teddy" Nichols and his wife Karrin Rossberg-Nichols of Ashland; her daughter Doreen Nichols of Southborough; grandchildren Leticia Nichols of Azusa, CA and Dustin Holstein of Denver, CO; brother Albert Perry and his wife Avis of Brockton; grand-dogs, Harley Gracie and Poma, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31st at 7:00 pm at the Greater Framingham Community Church, 44 Franklin Street in Framingham MA. Calling hours will be held 5:00-7:00 pm, prior to the service. Flowers or donations made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the ALS Association, P.O. Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007 are welcomed. A graveside committal service will be held at the Wildwood Cemetery, Chestnut St, Ashland, 9:30 am, Saturday, August 1st.
