Sally Anne (Corey) Haynes, 71, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25th at the Metrowest Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Richard Haynes of Ashland, brother Jon Corey of Nova Scotia, sons, Jon of Hopedale, MA, James of Lynn, MA, a daughter, Lynda Patrice Ersoff of Bossier City, LA., five grandchildren, Anna and Alexander Haynes, Morgan and Madison Ersoff and Linsay Haynes. She was born to the late Alfred J. Corey and Dorothy (Burpee) Corey of Edmunston New Brunswick in July 20th, 1940. Growing up in Canada, Sally enjoyed all sports and was an accomplished Junior golfer. In 1959 she won the New Brunswick Junior Girl's Championship and was ranked 24th in the Girls Junior Amateur Championship Canada. The highlight of her golfing career was getting an impromptu golf lesson from Sam Snead at her home course in Edmunston. Sally moved to the United States and earned a paralegal degree. She met Richard in Boston and lived in the Framingham area after that time. She loved seeing and spending time with all of her grandchildren and family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3rd at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
