Ruth Marie Walsh, 77 of Holliston passed away Thursday Jan. 11th in Boston.  She was the wife of the late David Thomas Walsh who died in 1980.  A graduate of Framingham State College, Ruth worked as a nursery school teacher for Framingham Centre Nursery School until her retirement in 2011.  She was a resident of Holliston for over 45 years and supported community youth programs including Cub Scouts, religious education, and youth soccer.

Mrs. Walsh is survived by three sons; Christopher Walsh and his wife Elizabeth of Bellingham; Brett Walsh and his partner Colleen of Uxbridge; Terry Walsh and his partner Amanda of Webster; three grandchildren; CJ, Justin, and Riley; two brothers; Terry MacDonald and Wayne MacDonald; and two sisters; Janet Corley and Sue Billings.  Ruth was grandmother to the late Kyle Walsh and sister to the late Joe MacDonald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Jan. 16th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.  Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016
