Rose (Kadra) Thomas 91 of Hopkinton, passed away January 11th at MetroWest Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis Thomas. Mrs. Thomas was born in Ashland and was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Kadra. She lived in Ashland for more than 85 years before moving to Hopkinton to live with her nephew and his wife, Edward M. and Margaret Kadra. Mrs. Thomas was employed by General Electric in Ashland for 43 years. Mrs. Thomas leaves her sister-in-law Lorraine Thomas of Norwood, MA, her brother-in-law Joseph Macchi of Southborough, MA and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomas was the sister of the late Josephine Bosconi and Julia Macchi of Framingham, Selma Tebo and Mary Gebron of Worcester and Toffa Kadra of Ashland. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Mabel Kadra and Acey Thomas of Norwood, Ralph Tebo of Worcester and Joseph Bosconi of Framingham. A funeral Mass will be said on Saturday morning, January 14th at 9:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.
