Rosarie "Ro" Martinis, 71, of Ashland passed away Sunday Sept. 7th surrounded by her family. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Gucciardi) Maniscalco. Ro and her wife, Rosemary Condon, were life partners for 44 years and married for 10 years. Ro will be remembered as a generous friend to many. She served as a longtime board member of the Ashland Historical Society and volunteered for the Greyhound Friends in Hopkinton. She loved cats and dogs. Her many interests and hobbies included playing the piano, archeology, deep-sea fishing, woodworking and flint-knapping. She was a superb cook and baker who loved to share her food with friends and family. In addition to her wife, she is survived by one son, William P. Maniscalco and his wife Carie of Venice, CA, one sister, Diane Vacarra of Framingham, and one niece, Jill Weisman Vacarra of Santa Monica, CA. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
