Rosa Myree Laviolette, 86, of Marlborough passed away Friday July 5th at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Carlton C. Laviolette who died in 1972. Rosa was born and grew up in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, in a loving family with many brothers and sisters. She was a founding member of the Marlborough Historical Society and the Marlborough Fine Arts Group. She was an accomplished artist and painter. She is survived by two children; Mark C. Laviolette and his wife Donna Basiliere of Seattle, WA; and Gale E. Laviolette of Marlborough; and three grandchildren; Carl, Allan, and Sadie Laviolette of Seattle. She also leaves brothers and sisters in Virginia and nieces and nephews across the country. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 9th at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beech St. in Marlborough. There are no calling hours.
