Robert J. Swanson, 80 of Ashland passed away Sat. April 20, 2024.  He was the son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Mellett) Swanson.  He worked as a service advisor for Foreign Motors West for many years until his retirement.  Robert served his country honorably in the US Army from 1965-67.

He is survived by one son Ira Bronson of New York, NY, one sister Elizabeth Berger of Englewood, FL, one brother Paul Swanson and his wife Catherine of Norwood, MA, one niece and five nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday April 25th at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.  One visiting hour will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM prior to the service.  Donations in Robert's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516
