Robert Midgette, 51, of Ashland died January 15, 2011. Robert was born in Ashland and lived there most of his life. He was the son of the late James and Thelma Midgette. He was a hard worker and a good friend. He worked for years as a tree worker, mover, and innovative problem solver. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Morin and her husband Jared of Barre, Mass and his grandchildren Nathan, twins, Kristina and Tyler and Ryan; brother James Midgette and his wife Anne Marie of Whitinsville; his neice Valerie and nephew Adam; sister Diane Chaplin and her husband James of Auburn, Maine and his nephew John. He has been a good friend to many and we will all miss him. A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 24th at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00PM prior to the service. Robert's ashes will be buried Tuesday at 11:00am in the family plot at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
