Robert Oliver Higgins, Jr., 50, of Kingsland, GA, formerly of Hopkinton, MA, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of Florence (Stone) Higgins and the late Robert O. Higgins, Sr. He is survived by two sisters; Sheryl Gallant, and husband Tom of Holliston, MA and Ann Marie Zambesi and husband Steven of St. Mary's, Georgia as well as several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew. He was a graduate of Keefe Technical School in Framingham and worked as an electronics assembler. He enjoyed refurbishing furniture, fishing, and was an avid Patriots fan. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th at 11AM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland. Calling hours will take place Sunday, December 7th from 3-5PM in the funeral home.
