Robert F. Gimskie, 77, of Framingham, passed away, Thursday, April 22nd at Umass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Tilley) Gimskie and husband of the late Joan (Fairbanks) Gimskie, who died in 2006. A resident of Framingham for over 30 years, Robert worked as a service technician for B&M Fuel and Terry Oil. He will be remembered as being a wonderful father. He is survived by his children; Allyn Gimskie and his wife Cindy of Port Charlotte, FL, Linda Bamber of Manchester, NH, and Kathleen Gimskie of Auburn, MA; step-children; Bruce MacKay and his wife Caroline of Fayetteville NC, and Janice Mackay of Wake Forest, NC; three grandchildren, Kimberly and Michael Myers, Heather and Noreldeen Alsaka, and Merrie and Nicholas Marks; six great grandchildren, Alexander and Jack Marks, Trae Myers, Jaclyne Myers, Klaira Myers, and Avery Alsaka; three sisters; Helen M. and Arnold C. Cross of Marlborough, MA; Constance M. Gimskie and Elaine R. and Arthrur V. Campana, both of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held Friday, May 7th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland followed by urn burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton.
