Robert Felice Genna, born on April 8, 1953 in Waltham, MA passed away on February 25, 2024 surrounded by family. Bob is predeceased by his parents William and Alice (Mobilia) Genna, brother William Genna and sister Nancy Pelfrey. He is survived by his children: Denise (Mike) Boucher of Lexington, VA and Rob W. Genna of Ashland, MA, his sisters Laura Genna and Patty (Warren) Carlson, his girlfriend of many years Jeanne Lapidas, her two boys Andy (Abi) Lapidas and Chris (Rachel) Lapidas , his 2 granddaughters Brooke (Mike) Minichiello and Sydney Boucher, 2 grandsons Nathan and Zach, and 2 great grandchildren that he fiercely adored.

Bob was the owner of Town Line Hardware, Inc. in Sudbury MA, where he worked his entire career before retiring and moving to Lexington, VA to be near family. He valued good old fashioned face to face business and always made it a point to get to know his customers and those he did business with. Bob loved the ocean: boating, water sports, fishing and generously sharing that love with family and friends. Bob was a pilot and loved to spend time charting a trip and flying his plane. Someone was always trying to convince him to put down the camera, but he loved to capture memories through the lens of the camera and through video. If you knew Bob,  you have likely experienced his unique sense of humor or heard one of the many 'Bob' jokes that he loved to tell.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. March 16th at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the following organizations that were important to Bob: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Alzheimer's Society of America.
