Robert F. Enman, 84, of Ashland passed away October 1st after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Janis (Greenleaf) Enman. Born in Morris Plains, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Enman. Married for 59 years, he and his wife had resided in Ashland for over 55 years. He was employed with the Town of Ashland in the school department for over 15 years. A veteran of WWII, he served his country honorably in the Unites States Navy stationed on the USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter: Darlene Herweck and her husband Mark of Ashland; two grandsons, Daniel and Joshua of Ashland; four sisters: Ruth Walker of Jefferson, NH, Marietta Ingerson of Jefferson, NH, Barbara Connell of Utah, Elaine Kenison of Washington state; one brother, Donald Enman of Stoneham, MA; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Marusa of Merideth, NH; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Eleanor Cloyd, Bruce Enman and Charles Enman II. A funeral service will be held on Monday morning, October 5th at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 P.M.
