Robert W. Cunningham, 75, of Ashland passed away Thursday October 30th at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lillian (Uttero) Cunningham. They had been married 50 years. Born in Natick, the son of the late Ruth (Cotter) and Walter Cunningham, he was a long time resident of Ashland. Prior to his retirement he was employed with the Raytheon Corp. for 35 years in the Program Management Offices. Mr. Cunningham served his country honorably with the Army during the Korean War. Hewas an avid cribbage player and was a member of the American Cribbage Congress, with a Master's Rating. He participated in many tournaments throughout New England. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters: Beth Anne Muirhead and her husband Kenneth of Rollinsford, N.H; Kelly Jean Mooshian and her husband Mark of Nashua, N.H. He also leaves his grandchildren: Brian and Kevin Muirhead and Robert and Amy Cote and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Regina (Jean) Botelho and Kenneth Cunningham. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday morning at 9:00 am in St. Cecilia's Church, Esty St. Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army at 147 Berkeley St., Boston, MA 02116, Attention Will Leslie.
