Robert 'Bob' Condon, Sr., 83, of Millis, former longtime resident of Ashland, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 21 at his home. Born and raised in Natick, he was the son of the late Edward and Genevieve (Walker) Condon. Bob was married to Marie (Church) Condon for 32 years and had three children. Marie passed away unexpectedly in 1997 at just 55 years old. He remarried Judith (Fitzpatrick) Rossi Condon, who passed in 2023. Before retiring, Bob spent most of his career working for Dimeo Construction in Providence, RI as a superintendent and project manager.
When he was raising his family, he enjoyed summers on the Cape – having Happy Hour at his sister's house, boating, golfing and catching The Bards perform at The Irish Pub. He was always happiest spending time with his large extended family. He spent the last two years living at The Residences at Charles Meadow where he was a member of the Residents Council and founding member of the Men's Club. He was grateful for his many dear friends and the caring staff.
Bob is survived by three children, Robert 'Rob' Condon Jr. and his wife Kim of Medway, Suzanne Dumaresq and her husband Ray of Manchester, NH, and Chrissy Casella and her husband Billy of Franklin, five grandchildren, Bailey and Delaney Condon, Haley Deschamps and her husband Jonathan, Emmy Dumaresq, Cam Casella, and one of his five siblings, his sister, Phyllis Moore of Chatham as well as many Condon, Sullivan and Moore nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind three grand dogs, Mookie, Louie and Ruby.
In addition, he is survived by five step-children, Paula Rossi (Chris) of Southboro, Laura Earnest of Tacoma, WA, Hugo Rossi (Renee) of Sammamish, WA, Cara Rossi (Danny) of Ashland, and John Rossi (Christine) of Ashland, step-grandchildren, Benjamin and Jacob Earnest, Erica and Amy Cafarelli, Grace and Sophia Rossi, and Jack and Hugo Rossi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 26 at 10:00am at St. Cecilia's Parish, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 25 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
