Ashland - Robert H. Brown Sr., 79, of Ashland, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at U Mass Medical Center in Worcester. His wife of 52 years Helen M. (Barrus) Brown, predeceased him. Mr. Brown was a veteran of WWII and was retired from Data General Corporation. He leaves his daughter Barbara Bowman of Westboro, MA; two sons, Robert Brown Jr. and his wife Linda, of Danielson CT; David Brown and his wife Karen of Grafton, MA; his brother Francis Brown, and sister Natalie Frost, both in FL; and numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Brown had recently moved to Westboro. A celebration of his life will be held at the Knights of Columbus, Willow Street, Westboro, on September 30, at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association or a hospice of the donors choice. Arrangements were made with the Matarese Funeral home in Ashland.
