Rita E. (McEwen) Giombetti 81 of Ashland passed away November 6th. She was the wife of the late Rinaldo V. Giombetti who died in 1985. Born in Framingham she was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Nevins) Giombetti and she has been a lifelong resident of Ashland. Rita was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Legion James O. Carey Post 77 both in Ashland. She also was a member of St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland. She is survived by one daughter: Jane Jackman and her husband Arthur of Uxbridge, Three sons: John Vincent Giombetti and his wife Carmen of Hudson, Donald A. Giombetti and his wife Tharon of Marlboro, and Joseph G. Giombetti and his wife Katherine of Ashland. Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday morning at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church Esty St. Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from the Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main St. Ashland from 5-8pm.
