Richard A. Rizza, 83, of Hopkinton passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Rizza, and Andrew’s wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Lily; his daughter, Alyson Barboza, and her children, Charles and Domenic; and his longtime partner, Wanda Damian. He is also survived by his sisters, Eleanor Kearney, Janet Proia, Marilyn Adams, and Rosemarie Thompson, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph (Bob) Rizza, Anna Iarossi and James Rizza.

Richard shared a deep and lasting bond with his siblings and family. He was adored by his grandchildren and embraced life to the fullest. His wonderful sense of humor, fun-loving spirit, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 2nd at 11:00am in St. John the Evangelist, 20 Church St. Hopkinton, MA. There are no calling hours.
