Renato E. "Nate" Belli, 85, of Ashland, passed away, Saturday, Nov. 26th at the Carlyle House Nursing Home in Framingham. Born in Ashland; he was the son of the late Ennio and Victoria (Latini) Belli. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Brown) Belli, who passed away in 1993. Mr. Belli served his country honorably during WWII with the US Navy. Upon returning home after the war "Nate" began his lifelong career as a barber in the town of Ashland. In addition to being known as "Nate the Barber"; he was often seen tending his large garden next to his home. He was the brother of the late Ida Ann Belli and Irma B. Belli, both of Ashland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
