Obituary

Ralph Ronald Disney, 72, of Ashland, formerly of Natick, passed away, Wednesday, August, 5th surrounded by his family at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mabel (Kimbell) Disney and husband of Maureen (Bliss) Disney. They had recently celebrated their 49 wedding anniversary. Ralph served his community for 32 years as a fireman and ladder #1 driver with the Natick Fire Department retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Natick Elks, Natick AmVets, Natick VFW and Natick 4th of July Committee, as well as an avid fisherman and bingo caller in the metrowest area. Ralph and His wife were also the owners of Natick Awards Unlimited for 7 year. Mr. Disney served his country honorably with the Army during the Korean War serving in the DMZ Zone. In addition to his wife, he was a devoted father to his three children; Darlene Pease and her husband Wayne of Ashland; Kariene Disney of Natick; and John Disney and his wife Jennifer of Ashland; Loving grandfather to his five grandchildren; Craig, Kylene, and Serene Pease, and Michael and Matthew Estey and his beloved dog, Miss Bingo. He was the brother of the late Robert Disney. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ashland Fire Association, 70 Cedar St. Ashland, MA 01721
