Rachel N. Collins, 94, of Framingham passed away Monday Jan. 11th after a period of declining health. Born in Canada, she was the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (McFadden) McLellan. Rachel grew up in Framingham and moved to Ashland in 1960 where she resided for 35 years. She worked as a telephone operator early in her life and would later work at the Framingham Savings Bank and Shawmut Bank. She and her late husband Eugene Michaud were also the owners and operators of the former Star Dry Cleaners of Framingham in the 1950's and 1960'S. Mrs. Collins was an avid and talented ball room dancer. She is survived by three children; Dennis Michaud and his wife Nancy Lorenz of Roslindale, Gerald Michaud and his wife Sandra of Harwinton, CT; and Deborah Brogan and her husband Micheal of Ashland; daughter-in-law; Carol Malthaner of Cambridge; eleven grandchildren; Serena, Nicholas, Sara, Caroline, Amy, Matthew, and Robert Michaud; Rachel Newman, Patrick Flannery; and Michael and Nicole Brogan; one brother; Arnold McLellan of Natick; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was the mother of the late Eugene and Beatrice Michaud. A funeral service will be held Saturday Jan. 16th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
