Phyllis G. Shaw, 77, of Ashland passed away Monday, November 30th surrounded by her family due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Doris (Blake) Pascoe. She was the wife of Don D. Shaw.   Mr. and Mrs. Shaw were married for 59 wonderful years and spent 55 years residing in Ashland. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children; Darlene Heywood of Milford and Dale Shaw of Kennebunk, ME, two grandchildren; Trevor Heywood of Milford and Erik Shaw of Burlington, MA. She was the sister of the late Nancy Smith and Philip Pascoe. Phyllis joined Raytheon when she graduated from Watertown High School in 1955. Don and Phyllis met when he interviewed for a position at Raytheon. From that day on, they were inseparable. Phyllis retired from Raytheon as an executive secretary in 1992.Don and Phyllis were avid travelers together. The cruised more than 78 times to all parts of the world, traveled to all 50 states, some many times. One of their most memorable trips was cruising down the Nile in Egypt. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2PM in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland. Visitation will take place Saturday from 12-2PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Shaw's family lot at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
