Phillip A. Leavitt 83 of Ashland passed away July 2nd in Framingham after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Mary (Fenton) Leavitt. Born in New York,NY he was the son of the late Phillip B. and Dorothy (Weil) Leavitt and he had lived in Ashland since 1995, and was formerly of Natick. He was a long time member of St. Tarcisius Church choir and a member of the Secular Franciscan. He also was knowledgeable in medieval and renaissance music. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters: Helen Januszewski of Oakham and Christina Klein of Portland, OR; two sons: Daniel Leavitt of Framingham and Michael Leavitt of Ashland. Two grand daughters: Celia and Sophia Januszewski. One brother, Peter Leavitt of Newton. One sister, Patricia Rosenthal of New York. A funeral Mass will be said on Thursday morning July 7th at 9:00am in St. Cecilia's Church Esty St. Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
