Obituary

Peter A Duclos, 67, of Ashland passed away Friday Jan. 31, 2020. Born in Natick, he was the son of Irvin Duclos of Ashland and the late Mary (O'Reilly) Duclos. He was the brother of the late Michael Duclos. He leaves his sisters Beth Comstock and husband Ted of Holliston, Ellen Doren of Ashland and Anne Manion and husband Dave of VA.

He leaves his nieces Maureen Doren, Diane Durfee and husband Ryan, Leslie Praetsch and husband Mark and his nephews Paul and Evan Manion.

Peter was raised and lived in Ashland but had recently moved to Natick. He Graduated from Xavier High School, class of 1970. He attended Framingham State College and the Harvard Extension School.

Peter was formerly employed at John G. Shelley Co in Wellesley and Hottinger Baldwin Measurements (HBM) in Marlborough.

Peter served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Thailand, the Philippines, Virginia, Texas and Alaska. He also served with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He always enjoyed talking about his travels while in service. Peter was proud to be a veteran.

He was the Adjutant and Chaplain for the American Legion James O. Carey Post 77 in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ashland Emergency Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. Feb. 15th at 11:30am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA. Calling hours will be held Sat. from 10:00-11:30am prior to the service.
