Pauline Beatrice Hughes, 82 of Ashland passed away Wed. Jan. 10th after a period of declining health. Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Burt and Alice Hawes and wife of Francis Hughes for 65 years.  A graduate of Natick High School, Pauline worked in the cafeteria of Brown Elementary School in Natick until retiring in 1999.  She enjoyed many crafts and was an excellent baker.

In addition to her husband; she is survived by five children; Michael Hughes of Marlborough, MA, Denise Hughes of Middleton, NH, Darlene Pecorella of Framingham, MA, Matthew Hughes of Wrentham, MA, and Martin Hughes of New Hampton, NH, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Hawes Lennon of Peru, MA, and Carol Hawes-DeMasi of Natick, and two brothers, Burt Hawes Jr of Natick, and Timothy Hawes of Millbury, MA.
