Paul Anthony Arena, 60, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Ashland, passed away, Wed. Feb. 9th at this home in Shrewsbury. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Salem) Arena and husband of Doris (Denault) Arena. They were married 22 years. Mr. Arena worked as a truck driver since the age of 16 and drove for Mullen Lumber Co. retiring in 1990. Paul served his country honorably with the Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin Arena of Mendon; three daughters; Debbie Cable and her husband Bob formerly of MA; Michele Rivera and her husband Kevin of Ashland; and Jane Charette and her husband Brian of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Carl Arena and his wife Mary of Douglas, MA. He was the brother of the late Kathy Gionet of Michigan. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 14th at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
