Pamela ("Pammy") Kay Covell (Johnson) of Framingham, formerly of Ashland and Belmont, passed away on May 12, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ronald F. Covell; precious mother to Kristen M. Hall of Framingham; John D. Hall and his wife Erin of Hopedale; and stepson Michael Covell and his wife Nancy of Ashland. Dearest grandmother to Julia and Andrew Hall of Hopedale; and Alexander, Chloe and Blake Covell of Ashland. Cherished sister to Linda A. Johnson of Milford. Also loyal cousin to Diane Carenas of St. Louis, and aunt to Sonia Matson of Kansas City and great aunt to Mariah and Luke Matson. Pammy was the daughter of the late Nils Arvid Walter and Gertrude Johnson of Belmont. After being orphaned at age twelve, Pammy moved to South Dartmouth, MA with her sister to live with her late Aunt Vera J. Almgren and cousin Diane Carenas. Throughout her teenage years, her strength and open heart allowed her to gain a second mother in Vera and a second sister in Diane. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family whose lives she touched with great compassion and enormous loyalty and generosity. Pammy was a nurturing positive soul whom anyone could depend on for anything. She worked at Newton-Wellesley Hospital for over thirty years as an RN and a Case Manager for the Department of Surgery. In lieu of flowers, Pammy's wish is that everyone she loved and everyone that loved her try to give a gift of kindness in some way each and every day of their lives in remembrance of her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 12th at two o'clock in the chapel of the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton in Hopkinton, MA. All friends and family are respectfully invited to attend.
