Olive Frances Going, 86, of Ashland passed away Friday, Jan. 13th at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick. Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Leon A. and Julia (Davis) Williams. She attended schools in Five Islands, ME and Waltham and would later work for B.C. Ames in Waltham. She was active with the Beth Eden Baptist Church in Waltham where she would meet her husband. Olive was the wife of Richard Going for 48 years and resident of Ashland for 48 years. Together they enjoyed traveling and covered most of the lower 48 states. Mrs. Going served as secretary of the Local Chapter of the National Association for Surface Finishing (AESF/SUR/FIN) for several years and helped in coordinating a Massachusetts Convention in 1991. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Lorraine Williams of Jaffrey, NH; and several brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leon A Williams. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701
