Nancy Green (Smith), 89, of Lunenburg, MA formerly of Medfield, MA passed away Saturday December 19 ^th , after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Green. She was totally devoted to her husband and family.

A graduate of La Salle School of Accounting, Nancy was employed at the Ford Motor Company in Fitchburg Ma. She moved with her husband to Medfield in 1957, raised her family there and resided there for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener of both vegetables and flowers. She enjoyed animals and had dogs, cats and birds over the years. Her love of animals stems from childhood time spent on her Grandparents farm in New Hampshire where she helped tend to horses, cows, pigs, hens and dogs. She enjoyed many friendships, but especially her 60-year plus relationship with her wonderful neighbor Betty from Medfield.

Nancy was a student at Madame Rice's Ballet School. She loved attending her granddaughters' ballet and acting recitals. She was very proud of her grandchildren's accomplishments.  She was very thoughtful in her interactions with her grandchildren. She made sure she had toys for them to play with when they visited. She loved picking out the perfect gifts for her family and had a flare for wrapping them beautifully. She had a good sense of humor and was always ready with a dry quip as a response. Her love of Christmas in all its meaning was something that will always be with us. She was a quiet, sweet soul. She will be missed.

She is survived by two children, Sherry Colella and her husband Anthony of Ashland, and Bruce Green and his partner Sue Domey of Medway. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas Colella of San Francisco, CA, Gina Colella of Framingham and Celeste Colella of Brighton, MA. She is also is survived by her brother Douglas Smith and his wife Dottie of Brick, NJ. She was the sister of the late Bertram Smith and his wife Inez of Leominster, MA. She also leaves nieces and nephews around the country.

Memorial and Burial services will be by invitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Organization in the name of Nancy Green at Alz.org.
